POINTING OUT REALITY
ENLIGHTENMENT is our natural, inalienable state.
What we actually are is infinite consciousness, spontaneously appearing in its own being; within which a display of ever-changing, non-repeating patterns of energy appears, consisting of nothing other than that same consciousness, as in a dream.
In other words, Experience.
(Look now at your experience and see for yourself if this is true.)
This is readily apparent to examination.
Clearly all we can know is IN our experience, and we can know nothing about what that experience actually is, or where it “comes from” from “outside"; it’s the fundamental mystery.
And what can we know about the “objects” of our experience?
The ever-changing, non-repeating patterns of sensory sensations, thoughts, intuitions, etc., that appear and simultaneously disappear unbidden in, and as, our experience, can’t on close examination be verified to be anything in particular, other than just unfathomable experience itself.
There is no external reference knowable from OUTSIDE of experience available to shed additional light on their nature, except as “appearances”.
They are actually like images seen in a dream.
(Look now at your experience and see for yourself if this is true.)
So we are left with what Reality actually IS boiling down to just experience, and the fact that what THAT is, is a mystery.
On the other hand, experience is always present to us, obvious and naked, always being what it is, and nothing more...
“BEING, CONSCIOUSNESS, BLISS”, as it is described in the Vedas:
“BEING”, since clearly our experience IS, (and as far as we can know, there is nothing else).
“CONSCIOUSNESS”, since manifestly experience consists of, and is inseperable from, consciousness.
“BLISS”, the ongoing, irrepressible, ecstatic fountain of stimulating energy and sensation that cascades through our awareness without cessation.
(Look now at your experience and see for yourself if this is true.)
